Join our free Farm Tour in Sedro Wooley to hear from a local equine owner on how she worked with Skagit CD to improve her pasture and soil health, and improve chore efficiency! You will come home with the knowledge of how to take your own soil sample and a free waiver to submit it to Simply Soil Testing in Burlington. The tour will include:


  • A demonstration of SCD's Rainfall Simulator to see the impacts of soil erosion on your pasture, and how to protect your soil

  • A demonstration of how to take your own soil sample

  • A tour of livestock heavy use area designed for 2 horses, manure storage, and gutters that protect soil, reduce mud & runoff, and retain nutrients for use on your farm

Board Meetings are held every 4th Wednesday of each month at 7:30am in the conference room of Skagit Conservation District, unless otherwise noted.

 

The meeting is open to the public and they are encouraged to attend either in person or via Teams.​

Public records requests should be sent to the Public Records Officer, Kelsey Freeman, at kelsey@skagitcd.org ​​​​Records are available for inspection and photocopying by appointment during our regular office hours (excluding legal holidays).
