March 8th, 5:30-8:00pm Orientation, LID basics, and intro to Effective Landscaping.
March 15th, 5:30-8:00pm “Soil and Mulch for Backyard Conservation” by Ian Horton, Pacific Landscape Architecture and “Native Plants for Climate Resilience” by Brenda Cunningham.
March 22th, 5:30-8:00pm “Common garden problems and how to deal with them” by Virgene Link, Master Gardener and Entomologist and “Invasive plants of the Pacific NW” by Madelyn Loy -Skagit Noxious Weeds Coordinator.
Saturday March 25th, 10:00-2:00pm "Amphibians 101" classroom presentation and field trip to Tope Ryan for egg mass survey with Stacy Dahl, Skagit Land Trust.
March 29th, 5:30-8:00pm "Backyard Composting" by Shelley Johnston, Master Composter.
Saturday April 1st, 10:00-2:00pm "Rainwater Harvesting" presentation and field trip to WSU Extension Master Gardener’s Discovery Gardens.
Saturday April 8th, 10:00-2:00pm "Sustainable Pruning and Raingarden Care" by Carla Glassman.
